     Saturday was a very busy day on the sports landscape. Long shot Animal Kingdom wins in the 137 running of the Kentucky Derby which I found to be one of the most anti climatic Derby's in years. I guess it didn't help that not one of my 5 horses had a shot to win down the stretch. Manny Pacquiao defeated Sugar Shane Mosley in an expected unanimous decision. Boxing needs to tear a page from the MMA handbook and reassess how they come up with feature fights. The last 2 years, the "big" fights have turned out to be sleep inducing. Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers pitched a no hitter and he looked as excited after pitching it as I did as a kid being told I had to eat broccoli. To sum it up, we had 3 possible major moments in sports that ended ho hum. All I can say is thank goodness Rajon Rondo knows how to break elbows and play through pain. He showed us that pain is only a feeling in the eyes of victory. Kobe Bryant could learn something on how to REALLY play through pain. If Bryant grimaces one more time after sneezing or anything else he considers an injury, Rondo should kick him in the groin and show him what real pain feels like. Actually, for Bryant, that might not hurt either.

IF the Rockies do not score at least 5 runs today, they will not win the game. Considering the first 2 games in this series, they scored 5 combined, the Rockies are primes to unload on a suspect pitcher.
