Christopher's Blue Collar Lunch Pail Pick

Happy Father's Day everyone. It was the bet of times, it was the worst of times. This basically describes my capping week. I started out on fire and have gone cold the last 3 days. Looking overt my stats, this has been my worst 3 game stretch as to date. My father, who was the one that shared his love of sports with me used to put losing streaks in perspective. He instilled that belief that you cannot change the past, but you can change the future. Look at what has caused your present state, and change it. Never one to listen to my father when I was younger, I heed his advice as much as possible now. Instead of throwing in the towel, and mailing in my plays, I woke up after 2 hours of sleep to crunch stats and study overnight lines. I called my Vegas buddies to pick their brains. I reminded myself not to cap scared. Like Rocky from Rocky 3, I may have lost the eye of the tiger for the last 3 days, but my dad in a distant way, reminded me how to get that back. Happy Fathers Day dad.

Today we are focusing on the Cleveland/Pittsburgh match up. The first two games of the series we have ended with the same score of 5-1. Cleveland has scrapped by with a couple of decent innings offensively whereas Pittsburgh's bats has gone cold. Today Jeff Karstens and Justin Masterson are the starting pitchers of record and both have pitched well as of late. Karstens ERA is 0.44 in his last 20 innings of work. Today, this will change though. Karsten's has not pitched 6 innings in a game on the road all season. Cleveland went through a major slide a couple of weeks there, and they realize to win this division, they cannot continue to lose to the teams that are not as good as them. Masterson, as good as he has been has a tendency to give up hits at home. This year at home, he has given up more than one hit per inning at home. I can see a game where Pittsburgh scores early and often to take a 3 or 4 run lead with the Pittsburgh bullpen blowing hte game late. Final score Cleveland 7 Pittsburgh 5. My free play of the day is Pittsburgh/Cleveland OVER 8 -105
