The Daily Grind

 Another manic Monday in the sports world. After a week of trades in both MLB and the NFL, you can feel the intensity and anticipation of both sports fill the hot summer air. The White Sox are coming off of a closely played series against the Boston Red Sox. Unfortunately for them, they face CC Sabathia and the New York Yankees tonight. Sabathia faced Chicago in April and won easily 12-3 giving up 0 earned runs in 7 innings. The silver lining in that game is the White Sox averaged more than 1 runner an inning that game against Sabathia. Jake Peavy hasn't gotten a win in 5 weeks, and he hasn't pitched very well in that time giving up 21 runs in 28 innings. The thing is in those 5 outings. the games have been very close. Only 1 of them was decided by 3 runs or more. Peavy also pitches 3 runs better a game at night than opposed to day. Factor in Chicago playing at home and the Yankees slightly jaded by facing Baltimore pitching the last 3 days, and I figure another close game.
