With Tim Tebow going to the New York Jets I thought it would be appropriate to write him a welcome letter and explain to him what to expect in NY/NJ. I wanted to share this letter with you.
Dear Tim,
First off I wanted to say thank you for picking the New York Jets as the team you want to take to the promise land. By the promise land I mean church because their is no way you are taking them to the super bowl. I do see you starting half of the games for the Jets this season because I am sure Sanchez will be indicted on some statutory rape charge by mid fall. You will be happy to know that their are plenty of churches to go to in New York City. I recommend you stay out of the church on West 20th Street and 6th Avenue unless you are looking to score a Coach bag.
To feel more like a NJ/NYC guy, you should rent all the Sopranos episodes on DVD. To play in this city, we gotta get you some edge and swagger. We can nickname you Timmy T-Bone. You can be known as the short range sniper. Whatever you do, stay away from Plaxico Burress. Anyone that can end up in jail for as long as he did after shooting himself cannot have good karma. You should also consider not wearing open toe sandals at Rex Ryan's house when he has his bi hourly BBQ's.
When you are walking the streets on Manhattan, do not give all your loose change to the homeless. They actually make a pretty decent wage on the streets. If you want to give your money away, you should give it to all the people that bet against you last year. You may not know this, but you made some people in the betting industry VERY rich last year.
Last but not least keep smiling, don't read the New York Post on Monday's and soak it all in. You may not make the Jets better in the long run but you will make them a team not so disdained by the rest of the nation. That alone makes you worth two draft picks.

This blog which is updated regularly gives us guys a look into the female psyche which is akin to having inside information on a sporting event.
