I packed decaf in my thermos this morning, so my brain is still sluggish. The good news is I made my free play selection late last night after 3 Red Bull's, so we are fine there. The bad news is my mind is scattered with random thoughts. Maybe you guys can help me with these questions I need answered. When guys are taking a step back to take a 3 point shot, wouldn't it be wise to take a FULL step back to insure your foot isn't on the line? Does it make THAT big of a difference in shot % if you take that extra 1/2 foot step back? If the Panthers take Cam Newton as the first pick in the draft, can we officially call them the Detroit Lions of drafting, except with QB's? Are the Mets that much better the last week, or is Washington just worse than we thought? is the "Human Centipede" the grossest movie of all time or is it "Sound Of Music"? With Hillis getting the Madden cover, do I NOT draft him on my fantasy team this year? How did Air Supply get a hit with a song titled "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All"? I have tried that for years, and I still have no love. Sorry to ramble guys. Coffee is my fuel. On to today's free play.

Speaking of the Mets, since the return of Jason Bay they have played like a different team. Their offense has improved dramatically in the department of clutch hits. It is not like they haven't gotten hits before. It was they couldn't string together enough of them in one inning to get any runs across the board. The crazy thing is in 26 games this season, the Mets OVER record is 18-7-1. Not to shabby. Washington has lacked offensive punch in this early part of the season. That may change today when they face Chris Capuano. His ERA is 5.95, and is very capable of getting lit up. Livian Hernandez is on the mound for the Nationals. and he has pitched solid. Will the Mets bats continue to hit in the clutch? Factoring all I have read, I say they will. This makes my free play of the day
Mets/Nationals OVER 8 -120
4-7-1 -261 UNITS (All plays 100 Units)
